On this page you will find an overview of the event formats that regularly take place at the Physics Institute. All current dates are displayed in the event calendar.
Event categories
The results of current physics research are presented at several regularly scheduled events as well as at many special events.
Physics Colloquium
Renowned scientists lecture on current topics in physics.
Bethe Colloquium
The focus of this event is on current research in theoretical physics presented by distinguished scientists.
Bachelor's, master's, doctoral and post-doctoral colloquia
Colloquia on various projects in different research areas are held regularly.
Seminars
Seminars with different focal points offer the opportunity to learn about the latest research results:
Journal Clubs
Significant publications from different areas of physics research are presented and discussed at the respective Journal Clubs.
Wolfgang-Paul-Lecture
Wolfgang Paul was professor of physics at Physikalisches Institut of University of Bonn from 1952 to 1993. In remembrance of Wolfgang Paul highly distinguished physicists are regularly invited to give the Wolfgang Paul Lecture at the institute. This lecture series is made possible by the Wolfgang Paul foundation which was generously supported by himself with half of his Nobel Prize money.
